Very interesting Alan. I still recall (vaguely) the story of your encounter with painters (?) at your house and your response being to put Bright Red (title track) on endless loop to entertain/annoy them through the day. And I think you and I would be perhaps the only 2 people anywhere with such an admiration for Uncle Lou’s ‘Set the Twilight Reeling’ album; still a regular listen round these parts. No mention of Magic and Loss however. Sincerely Herbal T
Good memory Herb. There was the painter who would start etching paint off the boards right outside my bedroom window at 8am on weekends. The words of Bright Red should still be resonating in his brain to this day…. It sounds like I ought to find myself a copy of Magic & Loss quicksmart. I still play Twilight too. Such a consistently good album from start to finish. I scream, you scream, we all want eggcream.
